Robertson Sewerage Scheme

The proposed Robertson Sewerage scheme comprises:
-
a hybrid sewage collection system involving a low infiltration gravity system for the main catchment at Robertson, with three outlying catchments being served by pressure sewerage;
-
an enclosed sewage treatment plant to be located near the north western corner of the village;
-
an effluent management system incorporating a pipeline to transfer reclaimed water downstream of Wingecarribee Dam for storage and agricultural irrigation, with excess effluent being released to the Wingecarribee River during particularly wet periods.
It is being funded through a partnership between Wingecarribee Shire Council and the NSW State Government. State Government funding is provided through the Country Towns Water Supply and Sewerage Program and the Sydney Catchment Authority's Accelerated Sewerage Program.

The Environmental Impact Statement for this project was placed on public exhibition during 2008.
Following consideration of submissions by the public and state government agencies, a determination report was prepared and approved at the Council Meeting of 10 June 2009. This report is available for download:
